About the Project: Work on first agriculture farm that has decided not to sell vegetables! The CSA Semi di Comunita, grow their own food, and every Wednesday they divide the entire harvest equally among the members. This sustainable solution reduces food waste and also distributes products that would not have been sold in the supermarket due to aesthetic reasons.
Type of Work: Volunteers would help with planting seeds, harvesting vegetables, weeding, checking for pests and setting up irrigation hoses. Volunteers will also get the opportunity to discuss and study food sovereignty.
Accommodation: Volunteers will stay in tents. Please bring your own sleeping bag and pillow.
Volunteer Requirements: Willing to get involved and learn

VSI is a small charity and we charge a fee (€55 - €155) to volunteer on our projects, this includes food, accommodation, basic insurance whilst on the project and VSI annual membership. Volunteers pay for their own travel to the country and internal travel to/from the projects and any visa fees.
